December 2000: Pen and Colored Pencils.

Caption: August: Wind is an Art.

Explanation: Here, Ivy engages in one of her favorite activities: Making wind over the ocean, using air and water as part of a moving, dancing sculpture that she alone appreciates.

IVY TRIVIA: Ivy has been told that technically, something is only considered “art” if it can be conveyed to other people. She disagrees, because wind is art to her even though no one else seems to be able to understand its beauty. Instead, she considers herself a pioneer of an unknown art, one that she alone has invented.
