December 2002: Pen and Colored Pencils.

Caption: The makeovers from Hell.

Explanation: Mandy and Nicky decide that Ivy and Andrea need makeovers, though obviously neither is trained in said art. A moment after this scene, Andrea and Ivy are laughing so hard they streak their mascara. Ivy is disturbed at her lips being colored bright pink, though Mandy insists it’s not pink but “strawberry lemonade.”

IVY TRIVIA: In this scene, Mandy attempted to use makeup to highlight her friends’ features. For Ivy this is a bad idea, considering her eyes are almost twice the size of a normal person’s and they really don’t need extra attention. For Ivy, softening rather than sharpening techniques would probably look better, but since Ivy’s opinion of makeup is “screw it,” that is moot.
