Caption: First Impressions. . . .

Explanation: Ivy and Ruben’s first meeting. On the advice of a career specialist, Ivy applies for a job as a special effects designer for Ruben’s spring semester play. She makes quite an impression on him as he scribbles all kinds of notes to himself on how to make use of her in the theater, but he makes an impression on her as well; here, she’s shyly checking out his hair.

IVY TRIVIA: Ruben’s plays often have their root inspiration in his dreams. He spends a lot of energy on trying to get his plays to achieve the feeling in the dream of its origin. Imagination, the play he did with Ivy, was the first one in which his inspiration was entirely external.
