December 2001: Pen and Colored Pencils.

Explanation: Adele, angry at having been sprayed by the malfunctioning faucet, complains about the dishes while Ivy looks on in amusement.

IVY TRIVIA: At this point in Ivy’s life, her response to Adele doing dishes is “Why don’cha let Robin do ’em? It’s not your job.” She can’t imagine why anyone would want to do someone else’s work if they weren’t required to. As she matures in the books, she picks up the concept–along with many others–and the fourth book even opens with Ivy cleaning someone else’s house as a favor!
