Explanation:
This is the “crew shot” of Ruben’s play Imagination. Ivy was originally reluctant to have this picture taken because she did not feel she was part of the group. Ruben had to pick her up and carry her to the shot, after which her spirits lighten and she picks him up instead. “Y’all really got personality,” says the cameraman. Pictured characters: Gino, Mitch, Ivy, Ruben, Alex, Rebecca, and Julia. (From THTIB #3, chapter 31)

IVY TRIVIA: Even though Ivy is quite photogenic, she is not comfortable with having her picture taken. She intensely dislikes being videotaped (and has threatened violence to make someone stop taping her) and doesn’t like having her voice recorded. This crew photograph is actually the first picture she can remember purposely posing for.
